Gnavi the Gnome.
The G is silent. Gnavi is not. He runs dispatch: routes, parcels, and the small miracle of getting a bottle from a cavern to your doorstep without it passing through a dragon. He is never lost. He would like that on record.

He knows every path out of the caverns.
Your order reaches the surface because Gnavi drew the route. He maps the dispatch runs, dodges the closed passages, keeps the parcels clear of Drakkina’s den, and delivers the news when something is on its way. If you get a cheerful dispatch note, that was him.
The other creatures call him Navi when he is navigating, joking, or very obviously pretending not to be lost. His proper name is Gnavi. He will correct you. Warmly.

Confirmations and dispatch notices come with a little Gnavi in them. He does like a good update.

If a parcel wanders, Gnavi goes after it, insisting the whole time that he knew exactly where it was.
