SUPPORTING CAST

Creatures of the caverns.

Wunderwurld is alive, and mostly polite about it. Creatures keep the world working, each with a job and a temperament. We use them sparingly, because a world is more interesting than a zoo. Here is who you might catch moving in the dark.

OUR WURLD

Who does what down here

Goblins

Stock, shelf chaos and sale mischief. They move the boldest bottle to the front because ‘shy shelves are bad for trade’.

Gnomes

Dispatch, parcels and routes. Gnavi is the loudest of them, and swears the whole guild is never, ever lost.

Trolls

Gates, returns and heavy goods. If something needs lifting or something needs blocking, a troll is already standing there.

Dragons

Hoards, old grief and sale-window mechanics. There is only one left. Her name is Drakkina, and you do not want her shortcut.

Fairies

Root-light, lanterns and tiny display magic. They keep the glow going and rearrange the small things when nobody is watching.

Elves

Wrapping, elegant display and crafted things. Everything they touch comes out looking like it was meant to be a gift.

Witches

Ritual goods and old nature magic, Druid-like and practical. Not a costume, not a cliche, and quietly the oldest craft down here.

The Kraken

Bath authority of the Lather Lagoon. Showers under the waterfalls, plays with a toy ship, signs off the foam.

Imps

Errors, sold-out signs and minor mischief. If a page misbehaves or a shelf empties overnight, look for the smug one.

There are more, mushrooms that guard drawers, shelves that lean toward a favourite, the odd talking animal, but a good world reveals them slowly. New caverns bring new residents.

Meet the ones with keys.

The creatures keep the caverns. The keepers run the shelves.
