WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING
Elegance grew a doorman
Elegance used to be a clean collar, a flower and some daylight, free to anyone who fancied it. Then it got a dress code, a waitlist and a little brass sign explaining, politely, that it is now Somewhere Else and you are not on the list. The blossom never applied. It carried on over a bin, on a Tuesday, being the loveliest thing on the street.
The velvet rope was never for the flower.
