The roots have started to notice.
Wunderwurld is fading, and the reason is quiet and a little sad: belief in magic and wonder is thinning upstairs. As it goes, the world below goes with it. This is not a doom story. It is the reason the shop exists, and the reason your order matters more than it looks.
When belief thins, the light thins.
Wunderwurld runs on wonder the way upstairs runs on electricity. For a long time the surface demanded wonder, then hid it, then quietly forgot it was ever there. Every forgetting reaches the roots. The wood grows a little less, the caverns brighten a little less, and the oldest teal magic is always the first to go quiet.
How selling saves the wurld
An order is a small proof
Every order proves someone upstairs still believes in wonder. The roots can feel it.
A parcel carries it up
Each wonder sent upstairs takes a little Wunder with it, back into ordinary life.
Belief grows the caverns
As belief returns, the caverns grow brighter, bigger and better. New rooms open below.
