Which leaves the question of where you get it now.

WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS

Lemongrass Essential Oil, steam distilled from the leaves of Cymbopogon citratus from India, where it once grew wild and was called choomana poolu. Sharp, strong and intensely lemony, with a green, grassy, faintly tropical edge, all citral brightness and cut-grass freshness. It smells like the best hour of a good summer's day, the alive green part the actual season keeps forgetting to deliver.

Sela is a vila, one of the wild dancing spirits of the high meadows and summer winds, who keep the tall grass alive and moving and the bright green season singing. She keeps the Summer Meadow of the Sanctum, where the lemongrass grows, and she trusts it because it carries the alive part of high summer in it, the sharp bright green the outsourced version keeps failing to deliver.

She has watched the Surfacefolk lose their summers to heat warnings and delayed trains and desk fans running on hope, and describe themselves, flatly, as flat, and she finds it a great pity, because the bright green is not gone.
