Oregano Essential Oil, steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of Origanum vulgare from Spain, the pungent, phenolic, carvacrol-rich herb of southern kitchens, the one that gives a pizza its backbone. Hot, sharp, herbaceous and camphoraceous, one of the most potent oils on the whole shelf: a single drop or two makes itself entirely, unmistakably clear. There is nothing soft or hedged about it. The sensible bit

For aroma use only with suitable diffuser or aromatherapy equipment. Oregano is one of the most potent oils there is, very high in phenols (carvacrol); use only one or two drops, keep sessions short and the space well ventilated, and do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, around children, or around pets. It is a strong skin and mucous-membrane irritant: do not ingest; do not add to food or drink; do not use in baths; do not apply to skin, even diluted or on broken skin; and do not use for massage or personal care. Avoid eyes and sensitive areas. Keep away from children, pets, heat, sparks and open flames. Store upright and tightly closed. Never leave heated equipment unattended. Seek professional guidance if taking medication, managing a health condition, or using around vulnerable people. Discontinue use immediately if any irritation or discomfort occurs.

He has watched the Surfacefolk train themselves to pad every sentence with 'just' and 'maybe' and 'no worries if not', rehearsing the honest version in private and sending the flinching one instead, and it baffles him. A dwarf does not append a softening emoji to an anvil-blow. He says the thing. The thing lands.
