WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING
Reliability went invisible
Somewhere upstairs, reliability quietly became unpaid work. The one who locks up, who remembers the birthdays, who texts the group when the pavements ice over holds whole friendships together and gets thanked for none of it, because the whole point of them is that nobody has to think about them. Which is, if you sit with it, one of the sadder arrangements going.
The person everyone leans on rarely gets leaned back on.
