WHAT YOU'VE BEEN SOLD
A full day's work, and nothing you could hold.
Somewhere upstairs, work got abstract. It became dashboards about meetings about metrics, decks about strategies about alignments, a great deal of important activity that produces nothing you could ever hold, drop, or point at. You put in a full, honest day and end it unable to say what you actually made. Effort used to smell of something. Now it smells of a lukewarm meeting room and a notification.
No deliverables. Just delivery. The old kind. With mint on it.
